DAY 01: JAYAPURA ARRIVAL
Arrive at Sentani airport met by the guide then transfer to Suni lake hotel, after check in drive to Teletubbies hill to see the panorama from the hilltop, and then drive to the lake for 1 hour boat trip to visit Asei island, where the people here is well known as master of bark painting and also make some nice handicrafts mostly from bark, then continue to Yougwa restaurant for lunch (lunch is excluded) after lunch visit cenderawasih museum, Hamadi market, hamadi beach to see the wrecks of the second world war and then drive up to Jayapura hill to see the whole city from above, late afternoon drive back to hotel for dinner and overnight. Dinner is excluded
DAY 02: JAYAPURA – WAMENA (B)
Transfer to Airport- (Flight Jayapura to Wamena)- Pick up Airport – Transfer to Hotel – Half Day City Tour by Car to Cofee plantation, Local Markets. Accommodation: Baliem Pilamo Hotel Meals: Breakfast Transportation & Service: Transfer / Car + Guide Pick Up Time: Based on arrival in Wamena Upon arrival in Wamena, transferred to the best hotel in Wamena, Begin by exploring the vibrant local market, where you’ll find an array of fresh produce, including tropical fruits like bananas, papayas, and pineapples, as well as root vegetables such as sweet potatoes and cassava. The market is also home to various traditional goods and handmade crafts, giving you a glimpse into daily life in Wamena. A unique and culturally significant aspect of the market is the sale of pigs, which hold immense value within the community, often used in ceremonial exchanges and as a symbol of wealth and status. Next, visit a coffee plantation, where you’ll learn about the process of cultivating and brewing Papua’s renowned coffee, known for its rich, bold flavor and distinctive aroma. The adventure continues as your journey to the region’s first traditional villages, drive to Napua hill to view the whole Baliem valley from above and then back to hotel
DAY 03: WAMENA FULLDAY TREKKING (B)
In the morning drive to Aikima visit Aikima village to view a 275 year old Mummy, and then from Aikima we will trek to Siepkosi village, on the way we will pass some villages and we can stop by and have chat with the people to know more about their culture. Then we drive to Jiwika and we hike up to Mili mountain to see the Dani women making salt on the top of the hill in a spring salt water. After that hike down and drive back to the hotel.
DAY 04: WAMENA – SOGOKMO – ANJELMA – WAMENA (B)
Drive to Sogokmo within 1 hour and then start the trekking to the mountain to see the different Dani tribe who live in the mountain we stop in the village have chat with the people, you will pass locals sweet potato gardens on the way, sweet potato is the main food of the people in the highland. Afternoon walk back to Sogokmo by different way and then by car back to the hotel.
DAY 05: WAMENA JIWIKA (PIG FEAST) – WAMENA (B)
Drive to Jiwika to enjoy Traditional pig feast + War Ceremony you’ll experience the fascinating mock war traditions and the famous traditional pig feast of the Dani tribe. Before outside contact with the world, the Dani people often had to defend their territory from neighboring tribes. It is a rare opportunity to witness their war dances, rituals, and their impressive local attire, which the community proudly wears to preserve their heritage. It takes more or less 4 hours, we will have lunch in boxes in the village, after lunch we drive back to the hotel by stop by in the market of Jibama. Late afternoon drive back to Wamena.
DAY 06: WAMENA – JAYAPURA – SORONG (B)
Transfer to Airport – (Flight to Wamena to Sorong Via Jayapura) – Arrival Sorong – Transfer to Swiss-Bel Hotel Accommodation: Swiss Bel Meals: Breakfast Transportation & Service: Transfers Pick Up Time: Based on arrival in Sorong You will have a private transfer from hotel to the airport for a smooth and comfortable journey onwards. You will flight from Wamena to Sorong via Jayapura. After arriving at Sorong, you will be transferred to Hotel in Sorong and have free day.
DAY 07: SORONG – WAISAI (B)
Pick up Hotel in Sorong -Transfer to Harbour – Fast Ferry to Waisai @ 2PM – Transfer to Resort Accommodation: Waiwo Dive Resort Meals: Breakfast, Transportation & service: Fast Ferry, Transfer & Guide Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel. Then, you will be transferred to the Sorong Ferry harbor and take the fast ferry to Waisai (approx. 2 hours), the capital city of Raja Ampat on Waigeo Island. In the morning and in the afternoon. From Waisai you will be transferred to Waiwo Resort.
DAY 08: WAISAI (B)
Island Hopping Raja Ampat incl Piaynemo: Visit Rufas, Piaynemo, Star Lagoon, Rufas (snorkeling possible) Accommodation: Waiwo Dive Resort/ Sea View Room Transportation & service: Speedboat + Guide Meals: Full Board (Breakfast) Private speedboat to Piaynemo. It will take around 2 hours. Piaynemo is a stunning destination in Raja Ampat, Indonesia. Here are some of the highlights that we can visit today: 1. The Hidden Bay Viewpoint: The main attraction in Piaynemo is the breath-taking viewpoint known as “The Hidden Bay.” After climbing a set of stairs, you’ll be rewarded with a panoramic view of the iconic karst islands and crystal-clear turquoise waters of Raja Ampat. It’s a perfect spot for photography and taking in the natural beauty of the area. 2. Telaga Bintang/Manta: The Telaga Bintang, also often referred to as the Star Lagoon, lives up to its name as it has a star-shaped form with five corners. Surrounding it are hills made of karst limestone, along with the view of the lagoon’s turquoise green water. The scenery at this lagoon is truly something not to be missed. To enjoy the beauty of this lagoon, you will indeed have to climb up the rocky hills. 3. Snorkeling: The waters around Piaynemo are teeming with marine life and vibrant coral reefs. Snorkeling in this area will give you the opportunity to see a wide variety of tropical fish, colorful corals, and other fascinating underwater creatures. We will visit Rufas Lagoon, a fabulous tiny island hideaway with a private beach on the edge of a sheltered, coral-filled lagoon, in front of Paiynemo. From Piaynemo we will transfer you back to the resort. Your breakfast and dinner will be served at the resort. Your lunch will be in a form of Lunch Box.
DAY 09: WAISAI (B)
Visit Arborek. Manta Point, Yenbuba (snorkeling possible) Accommodation: Waiwo Dive Resort/ Sea View Room Transportation & service: Speedboat + Guide Meals: Full Board (Breakfast) Today you will continue to Kri Island and Mansuar Island. On the way to Kri and Mansuar Island, you have a stop at Arborek Village. Arborek Island is a small and picturesque island located in the Raja Ampat archipelago of Indonesia. It is known for its pristine white sandy beaches, crystal-clear turquoise waters, and vibrant coral reefs. Here are some highlights that we can visit: 1. Snorkeling: Arborek Island is surrounded by some of the most beautiful coral reefs in Raja Ampat. Snorkeling in the waters around the island allows you to explore the diverse marine life, including colorful coral formations, tropical fish, and even encounters with manta rays and turtles. 2. Village Visit: Arborek is home to a small and friendly local community. Take the opportunity to visit the village and interact with the locals. You can learn about their way of life and traditional customs. 3. Photography: Arborek offers plenty of opportunities for photography enthusiasts. Capture the beautiful landscapes, vibrant marine life, and the unique culture of the local community. 4. Manta Point and Yenbuba: We will continue to Manta Point to see if there are mantas. From October – April you have the chance to see manta’s feeding plankton here and sliding through the water like dancers of the oceans. In Yenbuba we have excellent snorkeling opportunities at the jetty. You can also visit the village and stroll alongside the sandy paths passing neat villages We will transfer you back to the resort. Your breakfast and dinner will be served at the resort. Your lunch will be in a form of Lunch Box.
DAY 10: WAISAI (B)
Visit Sauwandarek and Pasir Timbul (snorkeling possible) Accommodation: Waiwo Dive Resort/ Sea View Room Transportation & service: Speedboat + Guide Meals: Full Board (Breakfast) We will visit the neat and nice local village of Sauwandarek where we can see the life of the local people in Raja Ampat who are all committed in preserving the natural beauty of Raja Ampat. The shallow reefs at the jetty of Sauwandarek brings hundreds of colourful fish making this site loved by divers and snorkellers. We will also make a stop at Pasir Timbul, a sand bank in front of Kri Island where we can swim in the low waters of the crystal blue ocean, We will transfer you back to the resort. Your breakfast and dinner will be served at the resort. Your lunch will be in a form of Lunch Box.
DAY 11: WAISAI – SORONG (B)
Transfer to Harbour – Fast Ferry Waisai to Sorong @2 PM – Arrival Sorong – Transfer to Hotel Accommodation: Swiss Bel Hotel, Superior Deluxe Room Transportation & Service: Transfer, Fast Ferry, Guide. Meals: Breakfast You will be transferred to Waisai than use fast ferry to Sorong, from here you will be transferred to hotel and rest or have a free day.
DAY 12: SORONG DEPARTURE (B)
Transfer to Airport – End of Service Meals: Breakfast Transportation & service: Transfer Travel Papua staff will pick you up and transfer you to the airport. You need to be at the airport at least 1.5 hours before departure time
